Your questions answered
If you have a question, you may find the answer here.
Some browsers don’t allow this. Google Chrome does. Others might. Better still, download the Reading papers to your computer and use Adobe Acrobat Reader to complete them. This has two big advantages over using a browser.
1) You can save your work as you go, or at the end. Then you can check over it later and if you need to, email it to someone (your teacher or tutor for instance).
2) When you print the paper your answers will also print. If you try printing from a browser, even Google Chrome, only the original question paper prints, without all your hard work.
The Workouts use questions chosen randomly from all of the other test questions. Occasionally the same question will come up more than once due to the random nature of selection.
Instead of completing the paper in your browser, it’s better to download the Reading papers to your computer and use Adobe Reader to complete them. This has two big advantages over using a browser.

To ensure there is a big supply of different questions, the Workouts have loads more questions than you’re likely to have time to answer. So don’t worry if your percentage score is low. What’s important is that you improve your score with practice.
In the real test, you have a lot more time to answer the questions.
There is no simple right or wrong answer to many of the Reading paper questions; it still requires a trained marker to award marks.
The main advantage we offer for users of the Reading papers is that the answers can be typed in, instead of hand-written. This means the completed answer book may be printed off, saved, or emailed to someone for marking. It saves a lot of paper too. Also, some children prefer this way of working.
Use Adobe Acrobat Reader to complete the Reading papers.

The Workouts contain a randomly selected list of questions, so each time you do a Workout you’ll get a different set of questions. Sometimes you’ll see a question you’ve seen before but it’s extremely unlikely you’ll get the same set of questions you’ve done before. So for more practice, take another Workout.
The website does not store the scores and answers given permanently, so we recommend that when your child has completed a test, they print the results.
